The North West Brisbane Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee is a team of dedicated volunteers who are committed to helping businesses achieve their full potential. The Committee meets monthly, and welcome feedback and any suggestions from members.  

 

 

Stuart Pullar – President

An active executive committee member since early 2015, Stuart is the President of the North West Brisbane Chamber of Commerce. As a key local business owner in the region, Stuart is involved in several business groups, and has extensive small business experience. 

Graduating from QUT with a degree in Marketing & Business Management, Stuart went on to complete a diploma in Environmental Management from The University of Queensland.

Stuart, together with his wife Susan, have owned the Mortgage Choice Ashgrove franchise since 2009, and have more recently purchased the franchises in Stafford, South Brisbane and the Bayside area. Previously Stuart worked in finance for Mortgage Choice Ipswich as a loan writer, and as an operations manager for Office Tiger in India.

In 2015, Stuart was appointed as a member of the Queensland Small Business Advisory Council – as set up by the Hon. Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland. As a member of this body Stuart assists as a voice for small business with the Queensland Government.

Karen Reid - Treasurer

Karen has had a highly successful career as a leading Real Estate Professional for over 34 years. Karen is the owner of Reid Real Estate, where she heads up the Sales and Property Management team as well as general office management.

Karen's success is derived from a total dedication and commitment to serving owners and always ensuring the best outcome is achieved. Her experience in building and managing Real Estate businesses has resulted in excellent performance and consistency throughout a broad range of markets. Karen looks forward to having the opportunity to work for you on your property investment needs.

Reid Real Estate is a residential property management and property sales company, focusing on Brisbane's western suburbs. Established in January 2004 with the vision to create a boutique and specialised property business, combining a wealth of knowledge and over 32 years of experience, and to deliver outstanding personalised results to our clients.

Craig Stampfli - Secretary

A recent member to the NWBCC, Craig is taking the next step up from general membership to Secretary to assist the Executive Team to achieve its goals. 

Craig has spent his career working in the oil and gas industry and has travelled the globe visiting many non-exotic locales on the way. Throughout these travels Craig has found that professional customer service is the key to satisfying a demanding customer, and has used these skills with the start of his own company, Stampfli Photography.

Craig has been fortunate enough to transition a passion and hobby in photography into a family run business, allowing him to work from home in The Gap.

Other hobbies include Car Rallying, where Craig has strapped himself into the passenger seat and called out the pace notes at a frantic pace. A strong finish in Tasmanian and Victorian events complement the multiple Class wins Craig has achieved as Co-Driver in Western Australia.

Craig is passionate about landscapes, whether on the beach in Queensland, or a desert in Mongolia, he will have a camera close at hand ready to capture a memory of his trip away.

Nives Robinson – Events Coordinator

An active executive committee member since 2011, Nives is the North West Brisbane Chamber of Commerce’s Events Coordinator and is an integral part of putting together the monthly networking functions that the Chamber hosts for the small business community. 

Graduating from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 1992, Nives won the Board of Architects Qld Prize, and Dean’s Award for achieving the highest overall academic standard of any student in the Bachelor of Architecture.

After working for Fulton Trotter Architects for 11 years Nives decided to branch out into her own business, IRP Architects, based in The Gap and focusing on residential, commercial and education design.

As Director and Registered Architect of IRP Architects, evidence of Nives’ talent is on display throughout The Gap and surrounding areas of Brisbane, having designed many homes, some that are award winners and have been featured in television shows such as Australia’s Best Houses.

As a mother of three boys and with a strong family and community focus, Nives has also designed and master planned local schools, soccer, gymnastics and country clubs.

Nives is passionate about architecture and enjoys imagining beautiful spaces backed up with the latest design planning principles.

Melanie Grevis-James - Membership & Website

Melanie has been an active member of the chamber since 2014; and is currently on the executive committee. Melanie assists the chamber with membership services and coordinates the website. 

Melanie has owned her own marketing business since 2001, and currently owns Banksia Marketing and Our Planet Travel – undertaking strategic marketing for clients, and publishing a magazine.

She has a Bachelor of Business degree; has worked in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and Munich (Germany) during her career as a marketing professional. She has expertise in developing strategic marketing plans, graphic design and other marketing tools, website development, content writing, and publishing.

Sara MacKenzie - Communications

Sara is the current Secretary of the NWBCC (North West Brisbane Chamber of Commerce). 

A Central Queensland native, her career began working for WIN Television in Rockhampton writing and producing commercials and from there moved into the newspaper industry working for the Sunshine Coast Newspaper Company (Sunshine Coast Daily).

After returning to university to further her public relations qualifications, Sara has called Brisbane home for the last 14 years. She has worked in industries as diverse as agriculture, biosecurity, disaster recovery, engineering, and has also undertaken major projects for the Brisbane City Council and State Government, including writing and award winning submission for the Premiers’ Awards for Public Sector Excellence.

This experience has allowed Sara to specialize in corporate writing for smart businesses, with extensive writing work completed for major companies in the corporate, building and government sectors.
